normally ignoring 1990ies releases, this EP , espicially "The Dream" , showed the blueprint power of this EP any following so called dnb classics labels in my ears never reached

Down The Farm samples the bassline from this track Down The Drain https://www.discogs.com/E-Smoove-Down-The-Drain/release/71038

Great days just before jungle killed the party for me. Bass and bleep was short lived but what a time!

yes! Techno and early UK sounds have passion. Then it went all sampling and it was great for a while BUT then it went downhill as the Junglists forgot to mention who they were sampling. i have recently been listening to old school Techno of the European variety and have realized that the over sampling is ridiculous! Then again it had to start from somewhere but........................ 2 Kilos sampled. And they may have influenced pre hardcore junglists. So what I am saying is......Its a spiders web of musical tastes that brought about certain sounds. Some good some bad. ALL IN ALL WE PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT IS GOOD. sUBJECTIVE NOT OBJECTIVE is music ;) Peace

I would love to know why this was called Mohamed's Mind? Who was he? And what was he thinking? Dirty fucking breakbeat acid! 1990 and it's now 2018! Think on the history and don't just think about the party scene. Think about the country you were living in then and now. Also, and it may sound weird. But the vocal thas keeps repeating throughout the track sounds like "The dreammmm eeeammmm"?....

resistance D cosmic love EP was released in 1992 and 2 Kilos came out in 1990. So the search for the vocal sample continues. It sounds like some kind of chant? ;)
Querlaca
pretty sure the vocal comes from "resistance D cosmic love EP" from the track "index" or "cosmic love" phrase "this is a dream"

Mohamed's Mind has synth sampling from Information Society - Running

Mohamed's Mind was smashed by Aphex everywhere he played in London in the early 90's. Way ahead of its time. Awesome track. The wicked Acid (303) sample was taken from Nexus 21's 1989 release 'life keeps movin', dub mix.

It's actually probably taken from the original track called I Need A friend By Funking Farley Keith (Farley Jackmaster Funk)...

Off the chain, way different from what was around at the time and still is now!

I remember hearing 2 of the tunes off this EP on a pirate radio tape my friend brought from London and deciding this was the music for me. There was no turning back. These tunes still sound unique today and to think they were made 15 years ago is mind-boggling. I searched for over 10 years for the break used in Mohammed's Mind and eventually found it and made a tune (which of course I had to call Kilos). Time for 2 Kilos? to make more tunes I reckon.
