69 - The Sound Of Music FLAC

An absolute classic, with a huge underground following here in Scotland where one of the most enduring club nights is actually named after the pseudonym Carl Craig adopted for this project. We also had 'My Machines' a few years ago, a night fronted by Optimo legend JD Twitch at Glasgow School Of Art, which was named after the opening track on this album.In fact, when I bought 'The Sound Of Music', in 1998, I put it on and realised that I already knew every single track on the CD, which gives somme idea of how often these tracks played in Glasgow in the mid-90's. :D

It was me (Terry) and my brother Jason (Pussypower) that put Carl Craig on for the first time anywhere in Europe (maybe even the first time outside of the US). The very first time DJing at club Industria in Glasgow, and then a few months later a live set at the 3rd "Blast Off" all-nighter at The Arches in Glasgow. In fact Carl was witness to a fight over my box of records when the Arches gig was over and these half wits tried to take them as "hostage"! (it's a long story!) right outside the door when we were loading up, and me, Jas and a couple of friends had to chase them down and get them back! He just stood there laughing! Later on he said" If it was Detroit they'd have pulled out guns!" Happy days.
