Don't be fooled by the boring title - this little known album is in fact an excellent gem in the ambient/chillout realm. Melodic, warm and deceptively simple, "Great Lift Journeys..." combines soft beats, laidback basslines and breezy synth melodies to create beautiful tracks like "La La La", "Alpha Seven" and "Static". And even if you don't count the interludes that consist of recordings of talking lifts in Norwich (hence the title), there are still over a dozen tracks here to satisfy your eardrums. Recommended to fans of Dub Tractor and anyone with a penchant for delightful relaxing music.
