Beatnik Filmstars ' Intense (A's B's & EP's Part 1)' Was Disc 1 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set : ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground). Released in 2008. The box contained 6 CDR's, Stickers, Keyring, Badge and booklet. Intense contains all the singles From 'Clothes' to 'Pink Noise'
Beatnik Filmstars ' Intensify (A's B's & EP's Part 2)' Was Disc 2 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set : ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground).'Intensify' contains all the singles From 'Bigot Sponger Haircut Policy' to 'Off-White Noize'
Beatnik Filmstars ' Intensive Care' was Disc 3 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set : ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground). 'Intensive Care' was the 'Live Compilation Album' And despite the recording quality changing from track to track depending on the way it was recorded (from PA System to Hand Held Cassette Walkman) the whole album really works well...If you can let yourself go with the Lo-Fi....
Beatnik Filmstars ' Intensity (Rarities)' was Disc 4 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set : ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground). 'Intensity' was a disc of rarities, unreleased tracks, demos, odds and ends.
Beatnik Filmstars ' Intensifier (Well Rough Stuff)' Was Disc 5 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground). And it is exactly what it says... 'Well Rough Stuff' and while no one in their right mind is ever going to list it as their favourite Beatnik Filmstars album, there are some interesting demos and it's fun Lo-Fi listen. But it's a collection for die hards and not a great place to start if you're new to the bands music....
Beatnik Filmstars ' 'A World Of Light Entertainment' Was Disc 6 in the Limited Edition (of 250) Box Set ' A Box Of Light Entertainment' (The International Lo-Fi Underground). 'A World Of Light Entertainment' was a 'Demo Album' made in 1995. After 'Astronaut House' the band were trying to aim for a more pop, but Lo-Fi sound, and two versions of 'A World Of...' were created, but it never quite worked in the way they wanted. Eventually many of the songs were scrapped (some made their way onto EP's) and many more re-recorded and the classic Lo-Fi album 'Phase 3' was made. Here we have 'A World Of...' Version 2. With bonus tracks/ alternate versions from 'A World Of...' Version 1. And while it's an interesting listen, It's really a collection for die hards, and completists.
