The Honeymoon Suite is mostly Beatlesque psychedelia. But quite often the melodies digress into dream pop and jangle pop areas. And sometimes Butterfly Child adorns his songs with humble but subtle Celtic overtones. The singing is emotional and expressive. “Carolina and the Be Bop Revue” and “Deep South” seem to be most impressive though there is not a single weak song on this refine and delightful art rock album.

Butterfly Child released a brace of divine, rococo alternative pop albums in the early nineties and seemed to disappear. 'The Honeymoon Suite' is a collection of gossamer-fragile songs, decorated with ornate melodies, swooning vocal arcs and a restless beauty.
