Cameo - She's Strange FLAC

This is all about the amazing long version of She's Strange. a song about this wild woman who know what she wants and takes it! A briliant song with superb keyboards all the way through this version, which snake in and out of the mix with shuffling drums and great vocals. A must track to be played out loud when playing a disco/boogie/pre-house set! My all time favourite Cameo track. Love it!

Indeed, it was an interesting and creative change of direction for the group during the recording and release of this single + same-titled album. That creative change somewhere started around 1982, when they moved out of New York to Atlanta and slimmed down from an expanded band to a 5-unit. They mixed their funk with a touch of new wave when releasing the "Alligator Woman" album and kept adding more electronic sounds during the recording-sessions of the "Style" album which followed the year after, on their own Atlanta Artists label. Mark Berry did also a great remix of this song : Cameo - She's Strange. The bass-slaps are pumped to the max in that version.
