This is one of my favourite hip hop albums. I saw DJ Cash Money win the 1988 DMC world championship and at the time his prowess on the decks was unrivalled. His ‘M.C.’, Marvelous comes up with some pretty good rhymes as well. This album has the 12” releases like: ‘Ugly People Be Quiet’, ‘The Mighty Hard Rocker’ & ‘ Real Mutha for Ya’, But it also has lesser known gems like: ‘Time Is Up’, ‘Marvelous’ Drawers’ & a track I still play all the time, ‘All About Partyin’’ This is a solid album from, for me, the golden era of hip hop.
