This record deserves a comment for the release itself and for R&S. A lot of people were quite irritated with the musical direction that R&S took from the mid90's. Unfortunately - like someone said "it all faded away in obscurity" in the beginning of this century. But since the Relaunch in 2006 my excitement is back when holding a new R&S-Release in my hands. Not one bad release since then and a very wide range of musical styles with excellent ambient (Space Dimension Controller), dubstep (Pariah, James Blake), detroit and some alternative-dance as this one. I don't know Cortney's other musical output and I haven't heard the original tune but she has a beautiful voice which reminds me a bit of Bjork but with more singing abilities. Ewan Pearson starts off his mix with a laid back housey groove and Cortney's vocals making you feel very relaxed and comfortable. In the second half of his mix he just builds it up into a more tech-house-approach which works very nice. Higly recommended. But if you are a purist that doesn't like too much sweet vocal melodies just check Andy Graham's Remix on the flip side which is equally good but totally different in style. He just takes bit ands pieces from Cortney's vocal and is seriously messing around with it, adding a mental subbass and a fierce bleepy oldschool sound which is just winding into your brain.

Why do only 42 people own this brilliant release? Get your copy, you won't be dissapointed.

R&S is back on top.
