amazing death metal release. still remains in my top 5 favorite death metal releases ever. a lot of deicide fans enjoy once upon the cross the most. that is a solid album as well, but to me as far as deicide goes, legion is where its at. creepy intro, blistering fast and technical riffs, on time blast beat drumming, laced with blasphemous lyrics. and in my opinion, glen's vocals are the most evil on this one. legion takes no prisoners and never lets up in its brutality. clocking in at under 30 minutes this classic reminds me of slayer's reign in blood release. not as in the music but as in just a very short, sweet, and to the point speed fest. the guitars and drums are so technically fast along with the ultra evil vocals makes it very dense and doesn't really seem to be that short of a release. legion comes off as an experience best absorbed by a front to back listen. a must own for deicide fans.

Here's to hoping that one day, the original studio recording sessions for Legion will see the light of day. Apparently, the first play through of this album in studio resulted in a mere 22 minutes, "forcing" the band to slow it down.IMAGINE THE HELL!
