Recorded August 13th 2016 at Rauchhaus (Berlin), "Berliner Klassik" is an eight part live improvisation that blends electronics, found sounds, analogue tape-manipulations and field-recordings. Die Neuen IBM (= The New IBM / Les Nouveaux IBM) combine on their third full length record subtle electronic drones and loops with the voices of the cities of Marseille and Berlin and mix these with minimalistic synthesizer patterns, noise and accentuated tape-hiss. Calm and lo-fi in nature "Berliner Klassik" is a slow evolving improvisation with discreet shifts to tone and atmosphere. Recorded live to cassette during one afternoon.
