Sterling did a mostly great job on this and made a very atmospheric and crisp sounding mastering. Its got punchy dynamics and deep bass when it needs it too. The only drawback is some sibilant S's that ideally might have been shaved a bit more. And a slight general lack of vocal presence and too much muffling.
Some of it can be a bit wonky in the soundstage which is hard to describe, and much of it resides in the center on many tracks. While the stereo isnt utilized fully it does have good separation and the dynamics are here on nice display.
Its the only copy I have tried but am decently satisfied and only feel the desire to maybe try a UK press sometime in case its slightly better. For now though, most should be happy with their US copies.
