Ok I haven't bought the Abbey Road reissue yet ,,, Can anyone compare the two has both. Because I heard both rips by someone but they were identical how can that be.

To my ears, the 2017 Rhino pressing sounds really good. Well balanced and clear. MUCH better than the 4MWB pressing, and clearer, punchier mix than the 2017 Mercury UK pressing. My copy has very faint surface noise during the dead wax, but you'd only notice if you were really listening for it. I'd recommend this one.

Generally speaking, I find Rhino's reissues to be a "mixed bag." Which, considering they've reissued just about every release in existence can be really frustrating. I own this LP, and I think it sounds pretty good--significantly better than 4 Men with Beards' Dusty Springfield - Dusty In Memphis, which I also own.I don't necessarily recognize an alternate mix, but albertocaeiro owns several different copies of this LP and gives an extensive (and helpful) explanation of the difference between this reissue and other pressings.

Hows the sound on this pressing? I see the 4MWB version is getting trashed. I almost bought that one, but will try this version instead. As Mikeh69 comments - looking forward to a different mix than what I've been hearing all these years. Cheers!

I'm listening to right now. Sound is superb. Pressed at RTI and cut by Chris Bellman. There is another reissue on 45rpm which might be better but I've got nothing to complain about with this one.

I was listening to this version of this album and there is something very different about the mix. Like it's a alternate mix of it. I can't put my finger on it but something is different about it.
spark
The original mix Dusty is in the left speaker and the musicians are in the right speaker. How did Bellman change the mix.

Tuesday evening PDT 9th Octobre 2018:There's only one mix of DIM, to my knowledge. What you're hearing in this latest iteration may jibe with my own perception/critique: Cutter Chris Bellman did some fiddling here, enough to distinguish it from my copies of the Presswell-press white label promo, the Monarch press (same matrices) and even the Columbia Terre Haute pressing (-1C matrices). All of the latter 3 generally sound similar: Dusty's voice is up front. It's REALLY obvious of the disconnect between where she recorded her voice and where the musicians played - - - they sound remote and drenched in reverb. On this remaster, Dusty sounds not as present, pushed slightly back. I don't like it. Initially, listening to my orig. issues, I didn't like Dusty sounding so bizarrely remote from the musicians, but I've grown accustomed to the recording over the years; ultimately, I like the original mastering of her voice, sounding closer to us. I don't like how Chris has slightly recessed DS's voice in 2017.A plus: I also hear on this remaster the instruments sounding clearer, more defined, not as smeared as they sound on the original masterings. Stronger bass, here, too.Lastly, another plus for this reissue is that the grooves closest to the label improve on the orig. cuts: no sibilance here, whereas I get annoying sibilance to varying degrees on my older 3 copies, especially the Columbia -1C cuts. All in all, although this pressing is dead quiet with a slightly more robust instrumentation, I can't get over the treatment of DS's voice. So, my go-to is my WLP (or even my Monarch). If otoh, a listener is new to this recording, then this affordable, well-pressed re-ish will do fine.

Can anyone look at the run-out etchings and tell who mastered this?
RUL
Yep, mine too. A very nice sounding record, BTW. Much better than my CD.

Cut by Chris Bellman. It has ᶜB in the deadwax.
