Great 12" with a nice set of mixes.
Track has backs of energy with the mixture of the tough hard driving synths and lighter rifts leading into big piano loops that give the track an uplifting feel and plenty of contrast. All the mixes are good, but its probably the Original that just takes it.

I've got to agree fully with jamesocm's summing up of this. The original mix is the one where the real heart is at, especially if you were swept up in the positive vibes that were a huge part of the early 90's "house nation". The track is full of uplifting elements - a glorious bassline, sweeping keyboards, nice breaks and those samples jamesocm mention are scattered through the track.

It's quite hard to encapsulate what makes this track work so well, but to me it really stems from the mood of the time, one of hope and openness, which has permeated through to it entirely. A warm place to be :)

I've only known this record because of a lucky buy of an early Warp compilation from 1993, Tequila Slammers & The Jump Jump Groove Generation, which features the original mix. Along with THK/France from the same compilation the full 12" became a wanted item for me.

The original mix is a beautifully crafted piece. Its captures many of the underground soundscapes and samples from the period and elicits a warm glow. I have to say I have found many of Warp's subsequent releases harder to get on with. Sweet track.

The flip mixes are way harder.
