Liner note : "A NOTE ABOUT THIS RECORDING : Because of the significance of these unique Gershwin recordings, the most exacting care was taken in the transfer from source to tape to master. The Duo-Art piano rolls were played back on a specialy reconstructed electric reproducing piano and recorded under optimum high fidelity and stereo conditions. The Rhapsody in Blue recording was further supervised by skilled conductors who followed Gershwin's original score to assure a completely authentic and realistic performance.
Engineers associated with the recording were William Jordan at 30th Century-Fox, Lou Layton, Michael Crawford and Paul Hoffman, at R.C.A. Victor; Sound Standards: Douglas Williams, 20th Century-Fox".
