George F. Zimmer aka GFZ presents his third EP on Enormous Deep. "Sophisticate" holds just what the name already says: Mature and serious progressive house music at its best. The title track offers laid back minimal beats, low-pass filtered chord textures and on top subtly chosen pad atmospheres that take the crowd up and away into another musical world. The breakdown holds a surprising but very touchy melody line, before the track drops and builds from the scratch again. Dreamy pads also build the basic of the second track "Evian". An analogue synth arpeggio rises with cinematic intense, orchestral strings support the dramatic break down chords and lift the track onto a higher level.
