GLADYS KNIGHT & THE PIPS A Letter Full Of Tears - The Early Years. - 2008 UK 2-CD set - This collection brings together, the material which Gladys recorded in her early career between 1961-1965, before joining Motown. Much of the material was recorded for the Bobby Robinson labels Fury & Enjoy, as well as the VeeJay label, with the later material recorded for Maxx; and includes the different versions, recorded for two different labels, of her first hit 'Every Beat Of My Heart', along with a version of the Don Covay song 'Come See About Me', and many great early Soul classics.
