"Recording by Les Editions de L'Oiseau-Lyre, released exclusively in Australia by World Record Club."
An alternative version of the air "O Ruddier Than The Cherry" is appended to the end of Side Four, with the obbligato part played on a flauto (treble recorder) as per Mr. Handel's original score. In the main recording, it is played on a flageolet (sopranino recorder), as it has been traditionally, from at least the early 19th century.
Australian WRC first pressing. Mono and stereo versions have an identical box and the same number on the spine (S/T4183-4) - the mono version has "T-4183" and "T4184" on beige 'strobe' labels, while the stereo has "ST-4183" and "ST-4184" on green 'strobe' labels. The stereo was issued with a small "S" sticker on the front of the box. The box has gold-coloured lining on the inside. Contains 9" x 12" twelve-page libretto.
