Within almost 15 years this was the only copy and earliest recording of this central switzerland group I was able to locate.
Amongst locally and internationally famous swiss folk performers are basically three different ways how they acquired such status amongst conoisseurs, teachers and followers of swiss folk music.
First are such who gained perfection of a playing style in a conservative sense, often strongly bound to a traditionally or locally established technical matrix of instruments. These consist of the most important ones like clarinet, saxophone, bass, accordion (incl. schwyzerörgeli)... Second those who searched new ways in melodic and rhythmic styles, influenced by traditional and modern jazz in the first era (1900 to 1960s), by personal experience and post-modern music up to now.
These artists can be associated with the latter one and the third category, where instruments are used, which fall out of a traditional or local matrix, in this case recorders. Beyond the rich complexity and arrangements, their unique performance on these flutes makes them recogniseable more precisely compared to The first two categories.
This review is part of a larger documentation and link network documentating one of the richest and diverse musical cultures of the planet compared to the small geographical space where it all takes place: traditional swiss folk music.
