Jeremy's Secret - The Key To Jeremy's Secret FLAC

The rumour has it, this record occasionally headed more for the dustbin than the record player - due to its obscurely humouristic, infamous cover art featuring both, Colin Lloyd Tucker and Simon Fisher Turner skin-stripped. Those considering the brilliantly provocative visual a reason enough to dispose of the 12", deserve no comment for their stupidity.

'The Key to Jeremy's Secret', unlike its successor - a bit more conventional yet brilliant pop long-player 'The Snowball Effect'- still leans heavily on the avantgarde side of things (previously experienced in Deux Filles). The title track, 'The Key to Jeremy's Secret' is a beautiful, smooth introduction with an edgy, bizarrely threatening atmospheric delivery.

Further on, the three remaining excellent numbers - 'Hiss' (a stunning cabaret-esque featuring that gorgeous 'play your Fender now' guitar solo), 'Ferris Wheel' and 'A Hermits Parade', somehow interact between each-other. Tucker's voice is more frontal to that of Turner's, in a calmly neurotic mode, bringing Jeremy's Secret's instrumental side to the additional fore.

Albeit a four track EP, this is a beautifully weird little story told.
