"In the summer of 1960, after spotting an ad for Hilltop Recording Studio in a trade magazine, Lee drove over 600 miles to Ashland, Ohio to record a couple of his original songs. "Wiggly Little Mama" had also been recorded back home in Missouri in 1959 with his group the Krazy Kats but didn't make it past the acetate stage until Deke Dickerson issued it on his Ecco-Fonic label in 1996. The Hilltop version is taken at a much faster pace. Lee and his Krazy Kats would ultimately issue a new recording of the song in 1964. This marks the first appearance of "Hey Mister Weasel", another fine Jerry Lee Lewis-inspired rocker. Although a contract was drafted and a single was scheduled for the Hilltop label in 1960, these sides have gone unheard until now."
