Leftlow - Cluedub / Boa / Cluedub (Skeptical Remix) FLAC

OK, so I've read (both on here and elsewhere) that some others have experienced the same problem I reported with Cluedub, while some of you have been lucky and received a nice sounding copy.I got in touch with V.I.V.E.K. and Unearthed Sounds (System's distributor) since my initial post here. They agreed to send me out another copy for free if I paid shipping costs. I agreed to this, and true to their word another copy was posted out very quickly. Sadly though, it has the exact same problem that my first copy did. So I now have two dud copies of this record :-( The distortion is really very bad. They have agreed I can send them back for a refund.I'm thankful that my copy of the Drone release seems fine, given a lot of people have said their copies of that one don't sound great.Edit: I got a third copy of Cluedub, this time from Red Eye Records, and this one sounds much better! So there are good copies out there, just some very bad sounding ones too...

My copie arrived this week. I checked it extra with my headphones and it sounds good.

My copy arrived today; unfortunately the sound isn't very good, especially the A-side which sounds noticeably distorted. The other side of the plate is nowhere near as bad. I changed my needle, and it didn't make a difference. How is everyone else's copy sounding?

Probably just gonna plow on ahead with the rest of the release schedule and hope for the best then. Got my copies of 026 and 025 the other day. Noticeable distortion on Cluedub. Its not unplayable but it's not right. The drone release is fine both sides apart from a few pops hear and there. Bought doubles so gonna check the other ones tonight. I've had to change the weight on the tone arm for a few releases just cause of the way it was cut (the shakleton tune on DDS) so gonna fuck around and see if i can make up for the fuzz bass.

these (Leftlow and Drone tunes) arrived today. listened loud over decent monitors and they are crystal clear. great pressings.

I am not sure if I´ve been a lucky and somehow got a better copy, but although the A side is little noisier than b (which plays just fine), I wouldn´t call pressing as very bad.

kamajii If you go on the MPO page there are one or two comments about pressing quality on other releases coming from the plant. I know its not on the stfu001 release but I'm guessing it came from there aswell. Do you know if vivek has said anything about it ? It's well known that MPO's quality control has been amiss for years. I don't know if Viv has said anything about this plate, but I also think I'm the first to comment on it. Would be interested to hear what other people who own this record think. I'm not sure if it's just my copy that's dodgy, or the whole batch

StoneCrazy This one too?! The previous release (Drone) already was a very bad pressing. Yeah, this one is especially bad. Really disappointed as I've been waiting a long time for Cluedub, the digital version on Spotify sounds infinitely better
