This album sets the foundation of the sound that would make them internationally famous. At times, it is raw like the "Conjunto" and Norteño albums that were recorded earlier by different labels, while embracing the use of various sound effects, used not only on vocals, but in general.

There are to my knowledge, 3 LP versions of this album, starting with Discos FAMA Records (released in 1971, Diana Records (released subsequently), & this Golondrina release under EMI Capitol De Mexico, S.A. De C.V. All LP's with the exception of the Discos FAMA Records release, have the white triangle at the top right hand of the sleeve.

In some catalogs, the 1971 version is considered the official first record of the band, while in some, it is number "three."
