A retro kickback to the golden days of the early 1970s bossa jazz. If there wasn't a year of release imprinted on the packaging you would swear this was a lost gem from Marcos's catalog. Utilizing brass, winds, bass, drums and the now famous sounds of the funky mellow Rhodes Valle takes the listener on a warm trip thru the melody hooked tropics.
You get an earful of classical, bossa-nova and jazz infused compositions Marcos is so very versed at. He even dedicates a song to the Brazilian fusion ensemble Azymuth. Although this is an 00's recording he did not use any modern instrumentation no synthesizers, drum machines or samples anything. That's what makes this such a welcomed record, its stripped down to the heart of instrumentation to get the message across!
