Notes

From The September 23 Release
Couldn't Have Said It Better
Not for sale, subject to recall, Made in Canada.Track numbering: The sleeve credits tracks 1 to 5, then lists the Intermezzo seperately, then lists the following 6 tracks as 1 to 6. The Intermezzo is actually part of track 5 and Mecury (which appears to be an advert for the car marque) is a hidden track at the end of track 11 (although it is credited in the booklet, although not on the tracklisting). The numbers in the listing below reflect the actual track indexing on the CD itself.

The name of the obese singer and former musical star Meat Loaf seems forever linked with that of producer Jim Steinman. In 1977 they are responsible for one of the most successful pop albums of all time (Bat Out Of Hell) and a classic single (Paradise By The dashboard Light). The cooperation is then disconnected but fifteen years later they repeat the feat with the album Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell and the single I Would Do Anything For Love. The name of Jim Steinman is nowhere to be seen on this album by Meat Loaf but his bombastic musical vision is literally taken over by his replacement Peter Mage. It delivers an ambitious and old-fashioned pompous rock opera on which Meat Loaf let shine like in its heyday. Bouncer is a cover of Bob Dylan's Forever Young, which is much less than the more than ten minutes on the cover. After several minutes of silence we hear a hidden track ' ghost '.
