Vlotje was made in march 2015 after a period of experimenting with generative apps. It’s a collage of live improvisations trying to result in a more organic tapestry by layering different time signatures and scales. The recordings are often reprocessed with samplers, repitched and mixed with field recordings.

Vlotje means small raft. It’s also a place in Antwerp were people go to meet, drink beer, listen to songs on their phones and watch the water.
