Yeah true italo essence I agree but as the notes say a cover of Droid by Automat (and it's obviously true). I have that album from 1978 and also it's "Italo disco" although it would be quite a few years before that term would be used (and "Disco" is probably not the best description of for the music of "Automat" - although it appeared over here (in the Netherlands) in the Dance charts and even quite succesfully (to my satisfaction).

A nice retro track, but VERY derivative (and almost a straight rip-off) of Vangelis' "Pulstar".Not as obvious as the actual Hipnosis cover released around the same time, but still...

It's a cover of Droid by Automat. That song indeed had some similarities with Pulstar, though both are great in my opinion. I think Droid is distinct enough, not to call it a straight rip-off. I would call Droid by Mito neither an (almost) rip-off of Pulstar, nor a rip-off of Droid by Automat, just a good cover version. I also think Pulstar by Hipnosis is a pretty good version of Pulstar. By the way, Hipnosis eventually recorded a version of Droid too.

Ture italo essence. Spacy melody with awesome space-jazzy elements. I think robots from outer space made this one. Seriously, it sounds like it. Wonderful.
