The first has a drawn large full face of Nina on the right side of a red cover with "Nina Simone Sings Ellington" in large letters on the left ("Sings Ellington" in script). The second cover has "Nina (Red) Sings (Gray) Duke (Purple) Ellington" (Blue) centered on a white cover with hand-drawn stage curtains on each side, a one-inch full face photo of Nina wearing a gold queen's crown in the upper left, and a gold King's crown over the "E" in "Ellington". The back covers of both versions are identical.
