It's a real hard time for us music collectors - and file after file it's getting harder.Any idea what makes it still attractive to buy all those NWW concert specials and limited editions???

You come close ;0)!Physical releases with a haptic experience are one thing on their own. But most interesting they become when their content is not available digitally. And that's what I meant. I spend loads of money to get a release, art object or not, which contains exclusive music and support the band with my money, and afterwards its presented as download on their bandcamp website. That exactly is what annoys me.

I see, you meant, 'why is it still attractive to purchase physical media when digital files are available?'. Like any collectible, I suppose it's the satisfaction of holding that physical object in your hands and knowing you 'own' it. Why own a first edition when you can acquire a paperback for a lot less cost and bother? Why own an original painting when a photographic reproduction conveys the same image, (well, mostly)? If you're a collector, you know when you need/want the genuine physical item, and when a facsimile will be good enough.

Guess you missed my point. I am speaking of the availability of non-digital releases. Only vinyl or only CD-releases.
