Another obscure and mediocre quickly-made/quickly-forgotten NY City underground 12". Rarity/availability does not equal musical quality. There is a good reason why this record did not "make it" back then.

Most of the P & P stuff sounds a bit demo-ish. This one right here is one of the crappiest sounding disco records from this era, in general.
Ese
Sounds like total ????????????????????. Only a few of the P & P releases sounded decent.
Fecage
Nope! Both this and the Acuna 12" sound like shit.
Gavinrage
Nowhere near the Adams/Brown team's best material. And no, I do not like the Marta Acuna either. The vocals are weak, it needed a better mix and/or a good instrumental. For all of the material utilizing this baseline underground P&P "sound", Atmosphere Strutt, Patty Duke and Disco Juice really caught my ear and made my collection, as well as the ears and collections of top club DJs from the era.

I'm sorry, but you really don't know what underground disco is. This is Patrick Adams - one of the best disco producers of all time. This is TRUE soulful disco music. I bet you don't like the Marta Acuna 12" either.
Opithris
I found a copy of this in an old collection being thrown out. Had no idea it was so rare or sought after. It's just "ok" to me. Surely not as great as people think it is in my opinion.
Fearlessdweller
among the polemics of what is a true original or not, it's just a great song. NY disco at his best.
Waiso
"NY disco at its best"? Obviously, we have radically different standards for evaluating music, especially from this era. With all of the great material from the 70s-80s, Get Down Boy is mediocre-at-best and FAR from Adams' and Brown's / P&P's best material.
Gosar
Not sure if this is great. There are much better representations of good NYC disco.
Pemand
Later released on NY based Tyson records, said to be a 90's pressing. Heavenly Star is the original, however actual dates are not listed on either. Edan the DJ looped a break from this track for use on his "Echo Party" mix.
JOIN
The Tyson 12" was probably the first pressing, as it was dated 1977 - and the Heavenly Star label didn't start until 1979.
