Prophex - Sleepy Head EP FLAC

This is a great little EP stab of some awesome drum'n bass and glitch style beats. "Feedbacking Machines" is a track with long strung out tonal keys mixed with some random drum patterns. Very much in the style of AE and Aphex for sure, but different in it's own right.
"Sleepy Head" then comes with loud distorted drums and distorted key loops. Hiding in the mix is some squishy type noises. The track calms down half way through to let you breathe, then it kicks up into a glitch pattern with some odd vocal from a weird ass movie or something.
"Nature Video" is a fairly quiet track to start with some noise glitches and another vocal speech, more serious this time. After a minute the drums kick in, more danceable this time...so you think. Then more glitchery with a great piano key loop. If this track were double the length I don't think I get bored. Great variation.
"The Non-Believer" starts with soft drums and an odd key loop...soon a drum'n bass loop fades in that mixes very well with the tonal keys in the background. The drum pattern changes often and even flows into a rap sequence, then back to glitch'n bass. I can see where the influences come from in this EP but the flavor is still very different.
One of my favorite EP's on this massive label Noise-Joy...and I didn't pay a cent.
