Shriek doesn't do it your way, they recorded their practice sessions for the concert and the result was this: A concert recording in the studio, and it's wonderful. It'll make you get up and move, and sing along. Almost as good as it gets, if you can't see 'em live. The program is a grand nostalgia, with the all the live harmonies. Perhaps it falls short of perfection because the old familiars, so faithfully represented, don't roam into any fresh expressions. Perhaps some sort of detente among mates of yore. No matter. It's a delightful digest. Thankfully the creative wellspring is running again and the works released since this do the trick of not being the same old flames.

This is a manufactured silver cd, despite being self-released by the band. Some great versions too!
