With a more mellow and dreamy opening than the original on G-Spot (the album), the Speedy J remix (Level 2) still uses infectious metallic breakbeats, but combines them with a bassline reminiscent of G Spot (the track). Rather good indeed.
The V-Room Mix sticks quite closely to the original for a more stripped-down version. No prolonged, atmospheric synth layer here. It is all about the trip-hoppy drums the stabs and the original bassline. Not bad, perhaps not too interesting.
The Edge Of Motion Mix does away with the stabs altogether, speeds things up a notch and starts out more menacing. It is dark-ish and metallic until it flourishes into a gentle Acid line accompanied by a mellow synth, then come the G Spot toms. Further laments add a cheesy touch to the track -- maybe unfortunate, though kept under control.
