The Grand Hemiola is derived from a ballet by Stefan Goldmann commissioned by Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Kevin O'Day company for Jetztmusikfestival 2010.
Side B & D contain a loop toolkit which may be used to mix combination loops, building layers of "3 over 4" rhythms ("Hemiolas").
Side B plays at 133.3 and D at 135 BPM. To synchronize both records, select the 1st loop on the B and D sides and lower D's pitch to approx. -1,5 or simply by ear.
Loops are cut to maximal loudness to reduce surface noise.
Side B plays at 33 ⅓ RPM.
Side D plays at 45 RPM.
