Notes
Canadian pressing numbered version with the text "MFD. by Apple Records, inc." on the sliced side label.
First copies were issued with covers that were printed in the USA.
These covers had very high numbers ( eg > 2535981) and had the "No." prefix in front of the number.
Came with poster that has lyrics in its back side. [printed in U.S.A.]
The records were pressed in Canada by RCA and have the distinctive "Deep Groove" on the labels. This second pressing has a simplified sleeve, with the bottom folded up inside to hold the records in place. The track info & pictures are on the back cover. There is no serial number, but EP-1 is in the matrix-code as is APPLE. Also no writing on the spine, and the inside is blank. The labels are also blank and the records are white. The poster (folded) is included on this second pressing.
There is a first pressing of this title which contains a gatefold sleeve that resembled a mini version of the White Album. It has an individual serial number on the front cover, printed labels on the two white vinyl 45's, and a 13" x 8" two-sided poster that was folded and put into the package. Also, the cover's spine reads: The Beatles Apple EP-1.
In addition to the matrix number, the inner grooves of the second pressing also features a message, but this is not complete because the extra text in matrix Side C is missing (see matrix/runout).This in contrast to the first pressing.Parlophone, Made in Gt.
