first impression listening to sides A and B; volume on mine is fine. Mine sounds kinda dead. Bass tones aren't tight. Percussion is muffled, cymbals are hiding. Only got this because I love this band. If you're looking for the magic that vinyl can sometimes bring ,skip this one IMHO. I'm actually surprised because I have their first 2 albums on CD and I think they sound exceptional, like they really know how to produce an awesome sounding album, so I was expecting a lot from the vinyl

Thundershaper

This is a weird one. First: I don't really get why this had to be 45RPM - it does not really add much to the clarity or fidelity of the album. Second: The Album was mastered at a shockingly low volume. Compared to every other release I bought in the last 10 years this one is about half the volume. When you crank it up everything sounds about right, though. Third: Maybe this is just my copy, but the A- and B-Sides feature some amount of crackling throughout.

Just my two cents. I think this is their best (and most consistent) album to date - the vinyl on the other side is not my favorite.
