The Fast Mothers were founded by Chris and Tracy Ruble, the identical twin sons of the late Tommy Ruble. Tommy was a member of The Cavaliers who were best known for their hit song, “Last Kiss.” He is also the lead vocalist on the official song of Memphis, “One Last Bridge.”

The band began as an outlet for Tracy’s musical creativity. Finding himself for the first time without a guitarist, Tracy taught himself to play rhythm guitar to assist in his songwriting process. Chris, who hadn’t been behind a drum kit since he was eight years old, quickly picked it back up without missing a beat. The pair began writing song after song, and even though they were turning out great material, The Fast Mothers knew they needed additional musicians to enhance and complete their music.

Over the past 10 years The Fast Mothers have had a handful of players come and go, but the current line-up is very strong. Rounded out by a who’s who of Memphis musicians, The Fast Mothers are, on guitars, Wayne Walker & James “Cricket” Warren and on bass, Matt Dees.

The Fast Mothers recorded the follow up to their 2014 self-titled album once again at Broken Snare Studios with producer Jimmy Fulp. This time, in addition to the return of Chris Stephenson on B3 and piano, the band also included a three piece horn section. With the addition of the horns, the band has created a new mix of Southern rock, funk and Memphis Soul. The Fast Mothers are currently promoting the new CD with live headline shows, special guest spots and festivals.
