The Fuckers - The Fuckers FLAC

Self-released record handmade by the band limited to 300 copies. Most copies were sold by the band on their one and only US tour in summer of 1982. While most think of the Zero Boys and Chemotherapy as the earliest Indianapolis bands, The Fuckers were formed sometime in 1981 in Greenwood a south suburb of Indianapolis. The Southport high school punk rockers formed the band with the intention of playing the high school's annual battle of the bands. The band's played the show under the name Gardner Youth, named for the school's principal Jim Gardner.

The record was recorded in live takes at Ear Worm studios in Louisville in March 1982. Singer Frank Huff had to record the vocals in the studio's bathroom. The band made 150 cassette demos of the recording before pressing 300 records which were hand numbered.

The band played more than a dozen shows around the Midwest before leaving for their one and only tour of the U.S. The band played mostly basements, and warehouses but played the 9:30 Club in DC opening for Government Issue. The soundboard recording of their set is the only other recording of The Fuckers.

The Band's singer Frank Huff disappeared after the band played a show in Houston. The band broke up and the members of the band dealt with gossip and rumors. Accusations of foul play were never confirmed, but the status of the band's missing singer lead to this record's legendary status.
