The Wee DJs offer up their homage to the Scottish lowlands with FEAR AND LOTHIAN. And by lowlands, i mean bass. The electro is thick with bass, even as "Breathe" wobbles and "080" wheezes like a dying vacuum cleaner. "Money" rumbles like oncoming thunder, while "Wheemyth" gets harsher. The drums pound their way through "Derhar" and "Shammy" pours on the acid. "Comby" ends the album with some crazed synths, and the ground is set. Heavy, and appealingly so.
