Released only a month after Born In A Crash this second compilation of pre-Troublegum ep's. Where Born In A Crash compiled all 8 tracks of the Face The Strange and Opal Mantra ep's, Hats Of To The Insane only contains all three ep leading tracks and (as goes for this Japanese release with its two bonustracks) five out of nine 'b-sides'.
