A lot of similarities with the music of Bent - 'I love my man' in particular. That was released in 1999, 5 years later. So Cantamilla definitely sounding ahead of its time....

Cantamilla is downtempo gold. This whole release is top quality.

Can anyone speak to the source of the Cantamilla vocals?
godlike
While it is Asha Bhosle, the original vocals are from "Dil Cheez Kya Hai" from the Umrao Jaan OST. Just submitted the sample to WhoSampled. :)
Eta
Apparently, it Asha Bhosle. As in "A Brimful Of Asha" by Cornershop.
JUST DO IT
"Recorded in Heaven" it's true. . . . . . . .

Mya Yadana. underrated track

Cantamilla is an all time classic. This track reminds me of Richard Moonboots and going into Eastern Bloc Records in Manchester.

Cantamilla is just such a gorgeous, groovy, fluid and dreamy track that I never get tired of. It is indeed timeless. Mya Yadana is indeed a nice track, but pales compared to Cantamilla.
Beazekelv
Cantamilla is one of the most beautiful downtempo trip-hop tracks you will EVER find. It is timeless in its feel and mood but way ahead of its time as far as when it came out. A very emotional piece of music.
