so true I stoped buying UK release like this years ago I have shed loads of European releases and around 1999 -2003 approx the edited CD singles were dreadful (3 track UK CD single) we got the full original 12" version shaved down to around to 2 to 3 minutes and 2 crap mixes where the imports had like 7 full length mixes!

funny how even releases like this get edited for the UK every version cut down by a few seconds??for what reason? don't think there was a UK chart ruling back then (stupid as it was).

correct usually the DJ line compilations Canada ones but sometimes these were edited from say 7 minutes to around 5:30 but usually had the breaks in the middle shortened and sometimes sounded acceptable and sometimes to a better effect but mostly I buy the maxi releases but a 7:30 minute track that had the middle edited usually if it had some unnecessary vocals are overly long break or a really long outro i wouldn't cry too much ;) its the fade outs from the original that annoys me I dont like fade outs at the end for some reason really bothers me....just taking the original 12" and fading it exactly at a certain time grates me......

I think even a lot of Euro Dance stuff was edited in ‘93 / ‘94. A lot of the ‘original mixes’ tended to be faded out towards the end but I bet the full length versions with outros come be found somewhere on another Europen release.

Interesting to hear a bloody '93 release was edited, would've thought the earliest I've noticed were around 1999 and then a lot more later as we know all to well. The Europeans as always getting their money's worth, good for them!

I’ve always wondered that myself. The only other logical explanation is that the record companies might’ve thought that the majority of people didn’t want to listen to the outro and weren’t DJ’s so they faded them out at the end.
