Some nice ambient stuff on here. Starts off well enough with Talvin Singh's "Traveller" followed by the dreamy, but not very dubby, "Dub in ya mind". The Messenger adds a little funk before we go back to the dream state in dZihan & Kamien's "Homebase". Then comes "Beautiful" by Mandalay, wish they hadn't included this tune. The vocals are just dreary and express no emotion; it's elevator music. "3.2 Bedrock" sets you off back into a trance before Endorphin's Gymnopedie on steroids, "Satie 1" kicks in. I have to say I prefer the original but not sure dropping a tune from 1888 would have really been in keeping with the Mode de Jour. The next tune "Homelands" starts as if it is going to continue the classical vibe but soon morphs into an upbeat Raga. The album rolls on nicely and ends on Dusty Springfield's 1967 "The Look of Love"
