Pleasently surprised by the first disc. CD1 has a bunch of tracks that aren't on other commercial mix cds around this time and keeps it pretty mature as far as dance music goes. It's mostly piano house stuff, that's well mixed and the only downside to it is that it falls apart and goes off the rails a bit toward the end, dropping a few harder-house edged tracks in before throwing any rule books out the window and finishing with a breaks track.
CD2 is a bit of a mess, the mixing is mostly in time, but there's a few too many occasions of clashing vocals and keys which makes it feel noisey and not really very enjoyable to listen to. On top of that the styes are pretty much all over the place. It flip flops between trance and garade, between songs with very different feels to them and then finally ending with some Drum N Bass. The track choice isn't quite as good as the first CD, so with all those things in mind, it doesn't flow very well. A real shame, because if this CD was a tight as CD one this could well be one of the better commercial mixes of 1998. As it is, I would recommend it for CD1, which is refreshing compared to other stuff out there at the time, but CD2 does let it down.

It's a 3 star, CD1 is a very very strong 3 star though, and one that I'll certainly be coming back to.
