Like the previous one - Dance Now 2000 Vol. 2, this release is actually pretty good. We are given a nice selection of tunes that start with laid back music, eventually heading into club music and adding a bit of trance into it as well.

The first CD immediately gets praise for adding Sonique's Sky and there are some worthy mentions such as Alice Deejay's The Lonely One, Sash's With My Own Eyes, Warp Brothers Vs. Aquagen's Phatt Bass (Aquagen Short Remix) and ATB's The Summer. It isn't awesome by any means as there are quite a few fillers at the beginning that I could have done without, but it works well to impress.

The second CD is better in my opinion, as we are given Ultra Naté's Desire (Joey Negro Radio Edit), Fierce (2)'s Sweet Love (Rhythm Masters Vocal Edit), Storm's Time To Burn (Radio Edit), Azzido Da Bass's Dooms Night (Stanton Warriors Radio Edit) and The Power Of Love (Ron Searle Club Mix Edit) by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. My three favourite tracks are Above's New Day Dawning (Radio Edit), BT's Dreaming (Lucid 12" Club Mix) and the final track which is Paffendorf's Everybody Scream (Radio Edit) which we don't hear on the UK releases of the time.

Overall, while I would point out that it is inferior to the prior release, it does have many good factors that keep it worth listening to and is better than many 2001 dance albums out there.
