Mananara

While a few of the tracks here are my personal favourites of the underground trance scene (such as Condor - Sky, Flutlicht - Ahmea and DJ Dave Davis - Transfiguration), most of the tracks here I find to be terrible.

You can be enjoying a decent track one minute, then the next track will come on and totally spoil the mood due to the almost constant threat of cheese.

I am not speaking of the "good" kind of cheese that could be typified by the uplifting Gary D & Dr. Z remix of DJ Yanny & The Paragod - Initialize or Pulsedriver's Energy though. This compilation is mostly full of tracks that remind me of that horrible mid-2000 era of sub-standard Cascada style pop trance, you know the sort, full of big horrible synthetic riffs that all seemed to spawn from the (admittedly great) Cosmic Gate remix of Rank 1's Awakening. Listen to Sun:Port - Abuse if you don't believe me.

I liked 15 of the 54 tracks on offer here. That's hardly a recommendation, so I would suggest you go on junodownload or beatport and hand pick the decent tracks.

You'll spare yourself a whole world of hurt.
