Kind of a disappointment for me, after Faerie Dragons magical last compilation "No Tone Unstirred". There are a few really good tracks here, especially on the first half of the album, that continues to explore the sound universe that has become the trademark of the label.
Salakavala's "Salmonella" is a very solid groovy tune, similar to their best work to date "Natto license" from above mentioned compilation. I really hope to see a new Salakavala-album with some similar sounds.
My favourite on the album is without a doubt Exuus - Bubble nipple. It starts with 10 seconds of some twisted voice samples, and then "SCHWOM!", you're in it! This is a very intense trip, signified by one of the most massive beats I've ever heard in a trance tune, a fucking brilliant bubbley bassline, and the typical "controlled chaos" of the suomi-sound: switching from uplifing, colourful and childish/trollish melodies, to provocative and extremely psychedelic effects, to goatrance-influenced melodies and atmospheres, and then changing again. Exuus has been a master of the more experimental sounds of trance for a few years, and if he continues making tunes like this, it shouldn't take long for him to gain the respect he deserves. Give us more like this Exuus and Faerie Dragon!

Unfortunately, there aren't much more real beauties on this comp. The Puoskari-tracks works fine, but not his best works to date. Sienis' tune is a very anonymuos one, with a horrible fullon-bassline, not what I expected from this label. Squaremeat continues with his dirty goa-sound, with that super-groovy disted bassline and hypnotic analogue melodies. If this would have been the first Squaremeat-/Kosminen-tune I had heard I would have gotten goosebumpz of it, but this sounds more or less the same as what he has been doing for ten years now.
Track #7 is a random electro-house tune that has nothing in common with any of the other tracks. Big minus..
The two EvsY-tunes are solid ones, funky and psychedelic all the way. Not very memorable, but definately better than most so called morning trance out there.
Outolintu ends the comp with a spacey breaks-tune, similar to the sounds of his "Odd man out"-album, that definately is worth a listen. But just like Squaremeat, this one sounds like it could have been released ten years ago.

All in all, I'm very happy with a new Faerie Dragon-release, again very beautifully packaged and with a couple of stormers. But there were way to many fillers on this one. I know you FD-guys can do a lot better. A weak 3/5.
