Burgas

Better than it's predecessor, Klubbjazz 2 takes you back again on a journey into Deep House, with some Latin and Disco selections in the line-up. The photography of Armet Francis for the serie is captivating: the cover grabs your attention instantly with that very special 70's touch.
"Mysteries Of The World" by MFSB is featured here as the "main" track. It opens the mixed CD and close the unmixed one, establishing the general flavour of the compilation. It is an instrumental disco cut from 1980; Dimitri From Paris sampled a part of the bassline for his track "Free Ton Style" in 1996. I would call it a morning track: to listen to with a cup of coffee. Funnily, it could also be some kind of generic for an old TV Show.
Alex Gopher follows with "The Child", remixed by the legendary Kenny Dope. Billy Holiday is in the House, literally. Deep Sensation (Paul Hunter) adds a mysterious and tribal touch to the mix with "Reelin' With The Feelin". Bibi is a little less interesting, but still produce a decent backing track called "Summer" which leads into the excellent and catchy "Touch The Sun" by Original Soulboy. The latin touch is important on this volume, with Mezzoforte, Hacienda, Kiko Navarro and finally the superb fender rhodes flavoured "Aquamarina" from Intrallazi & Fratty, with the voice of Joanne AKA Yavahnn from the late House act Ruffneck.
In my opinion, "Klubbjazz 2" is an excellent compilation, perfect to be played anytime you want to create an atmosphere. Unfortunately the last volume of the serie to feature 2 CD's (one mixed, one unmixed).
