Wild Python

A riot of great teenage grunt on this double CD. It would cost quite a bit to get the two original vinyl comps so why not save money and grab this double CD instead. Side 1 track 1 is the immortal I'm A Nothing by The Magic Plants - a nihilists prayer.
This sets you up for a whole slew of hard-done-by-teens wailing and moaning about their sad lot in life, how their women done 'em wrong and more woe-is-me type utterances from the fringes of despair. I don't think there's a bad track on this set.

Special mention for the E-Types 'Put The Clock Back On The Wall' which you probably will recognise as one of the best bubblegum garage punkers ever cut.... it's so catchy. Great song, great lyrics: "When the local population starts to act a little strange/ starts to make you giggle to yourself inside / and he'll ask you why you're laughing as he laughs along with you/ you don't know but you both laughed so hard you cried".

A vast payload of tuff garage snarl, as I say - not a bad one here.
