Music was initially recorded in 1936.
There are "Snow White" albums in Spanish, Japanese, French plus countless others.
Notes not on release:
"A Silly Song" AKA "The Dwarfs' Yodel Song".
Dwarf "Dopey", with vocal effects supplied by Jim MacDonald, does not speak at any point in the movie. Vaudevillian actor Eddie Collins performed and improvised pantomimes of Dopey's reactions on film. His pantomime turned out to be one of the first times live-action reference footage was shot for an animated film.
The soundtrack was first issued as a collection (Victor J-8) of three 78rpm singles. Each of the singles became a Top 10 hit simultaneously in February 1938. This was the first soundtrack album from a feature film.
