Various - Trip To Dreamland FLAC

This was one of the very first free Goa trance compilations pre-dating the iconic Pyramidal Trancendence, the latter was one of those net releases marking the second generation of the scene. But being a one time label release and with little or no advertising this was pretty much unknown. I used to play it a lot back then. My favourites amongst are the 1st track which seems to have been arranged to make some sort of intro, I'd like to have heard it arranged as a normal track, and track 7, gotta love that subtle sound after the 2:40 mark or so. And also the closing track. But I really dig all tracks.

Unfortunately except for Artha, Cybernetika and Lost Buddha these artists released only a little more or none. Label did not release anything else, download came only with a low quality front cover and no info about the artists was available. At 224 kbps the sound is actually still very good, ad re-listening again in the car the last day it has confirmed that it's still one of my favourite free releases from the now remote 2006.

Interesting compilation trying to revive classical goa trance. Sometimes you can hear, that this album wasn't made by established musicians, but I think these guys will improve. And we should be happy, that somebody still try to make true goa (for free), not only boring repetitive full-on sound (for earning money). My favourite tracks are Firebloom, surprisingly hard and minimal Detonation Device and of course In Love With A Goddes (Lost Buddha never disappoints).
